We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired by God and those original writings were consequently without error. The Bible is sufficient for the knowledge of God and his will and is the primary authority for mankind’s life. (Matthew 24:35; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the eternal Word and the one and only Savior. We believe in his virgin birth, both fully human and fully divine; sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide redemption, his bodily resurrection, bodily ascension into heaven, where he is presently High Priest and Advocate for his people, and that he will return in victory to rule forever. We believe in the Holy Spirit as divine and the third person of the Trinity. We believe in his power in the life of a believer to regenerate and convict sin; he indwells every Christian; helps in weakness; intercedes for believers in prayer and helps them live godly lives. We believe he gives spiritual gifts to believers for the proper functioning of the Body of Christ, which is the Church. (John 16:8; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:26; 1 Corinthians 2:9-12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 12:3-13; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 1:13; 2 Timothy 1:14)
We believe in the Gospel (the Good News of salvation) and that a person is saved by God’s grace alone, made possible through the shed blood of Christ as a substitutionary death for mankind. (Matthew 28:18-20; John 1:12, 3:16, 10:28; Acts 3:19; Romans 3:23-28, 5:1-9, 10:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
We believe that the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ is to make disciples in all nations according to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.
